Caitlin Bradford, age 10 years, winner of the 42nd Annual Mile Swim, when she returned 23 mins 22 secs for the 1600m, ahead of all other female swimmers and making a record for the 10 year girls which in fact was also better than the existing 11 year girls record.

42nd Annual mile swim
Sunday November 10th – EPIC Leisure Centre.
The club annual Mile Swim will take place during the normal Sunday session, with the first heat starting shortly after 5.00pm. The second, third and fourth heats will follow.
A sign-up sheet will be available shortly. The last day for sign-up will be Friday 1st November, late entries will not be accepted.
Swimmers who are competing in the Mile (48 lengths of EPIC) for the first time must first swim a qualifying half mile (24 lengths) within 20 minutes. An opportunity to complete this half-mile will be available at any club session in October. Speak to Mr Ray McKay, who will arrange this for you.
Trophies are awarded to the fastest 12 years & under, fastest 13 years & over and fastest Masters. Silver medals are awarded to any swimmers who break their age group record.
Certificates will be awarded to swimmers competing the Mile for the first time.
Certificates will be presented on the poolside on Friday November 15th, but the major trophies are presented at the Club Christmas Disco.
41st Annual Mile Swim
The Mile swim will be on Sunday November 11th and will occupy the whole club session, with the first heat at 5.00pm
Last day for sign-up is Friday November 2nd.
All swimmers competing for the first time must first qualify by swimming a half-mile (24 lengths of EPIC) within 20 minutes
The sign-up list is in the foyer each club session.
